The Unchanging Truth of God's Word

The Unchanging Truth of God's Word

Beulah Campus Pastor | Justin Werven

As we embrace the arrival of spring, I'm reminded of the warmth and renewal that both the sun and the Son bring into our lives. Just as the sun (S-U-N) brings light and warmth, the Son (S-O-N) of God brings healing, transformation, and hope. Today, I want to share some reflections on the authenticity of Scripture and its vital role in our journey of faith.

The Living Word

In our recent service, we delved into the authenticity and reliability of the Bible. It's not merely a historical document; it's a living testament of God's interaction with humanity. As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 tells us, all Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. This means that every time we open the Bible, we have the opportunity to hear directly from God and be equipped for every good work.

Eyewitness Testimonies and Historical Accuracy

One of the most compelling aspects of the Bible is its historical reliability. The New Testament, in particular, is supported by thousands of manuscripts, boasting a 99.5% accuracy rate. This is unparalleled in ancient literature. The Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—are eyewitness accounts of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. These accounts provide a solid foundation for our faith, affirming that what we read is not just a story but a true account of God's work in the world.

The Resurrection: Our Cornerstone

The resurrection of Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith. Without it, our beliefs would be in vain. As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15, Jesus appeared to over 500 people after His resurrection, providing undeniable proof of His victory over death. This historical event challenges us to examine our worldview and decide whether we accept Jesus as our Savior.

Living Out Our Faith

Understanding the authenticity of Scripture calls us to live out our faith with confidence. It's not just about knowing the truth but allowing it to transform our lives. As we embrace the teachings of the Bible, we are equipped for every good work God has prepared for us.

A Call to Action

I encourage you to dive deeper into the Word of God. Let it be your guide, your comfort, and your source of truth. As we approach Easter, let's journey through the Gospel of John together, allowing the Scriptures to speak to us and prepare our hearts for the celebration of Jesus' resurrection.

Thank you for being a part of our New Life Network family. Let's continue to support one another, grow in our faith, and share the love of Christ with the world.

Blessings,
