PASTOR ERNEST KEPLIN | BEULAH & BISMARCK YOUTH PASTOR
I recently heard that a good friend of mine passed away due to an accident. One thing I had admired most about my friend was that he was good at making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. He always celebrated people for being different, strange or weird. He saw the Gold in people. If you liked country he would celebrate that, if you liked rap he would celebrate that, whatever you were into he celebrated that. Didn’t matter who you were or what made you different, you were always welcome and made to feel special.
Our call is the great commission: Matt 28:9 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Unfortunately it's our fleshly nature to drift away from, to fear, to judge or mock people who are different, but I hope that isn’t us. I believe as a New Life Family we ought to celebrate and welcome others who are different. It's because of our different gifts, talents, abilities, interests, hobbies that we as a team can effectively reach our community, state, and beyond for the Kingdom.
